Boatdate: 05042020
Name: Pandemic 91
Location: Capernwray Arm of Lancaster Canal
Heading: Nowhere. Lockdown ufn
Weather: Sunny, blowing a bit
Virus Status: Free (as far as I know)
Water Status: Semi full
Toilet Status: You don't want to know
Bilge Status: Dry...finally
Voltage: 12.5
Parasitic Draw: 12.5 milliamps. WTF!
At
dawn a woodpecker is jackhammering in a tree over on the other bank. A
chiff chaff is chuntering at 100db. The water is still and the
reflections shimmer. I know where that family of ducks hang out now and a
lone mallard is on morning patrol as the sun begins to glow on the
birchy bark.
So the 2020 boating season begins with us all in lockdown. All but liveaboards must stay put and even they are only meant to move for the essentials. Our plans to cross the Ribble Link in late May and chunter down the Grand Union are scuppered. I'm just glad that for the duration we are in a very beautiful and isolated location.
Stay safe y'all. Ughh!
